EIE 16 – Edinburgh Becomes Silicon Valley

Posted on

It is that time of year again, where Edinburgh becomes the Silicon Valley of the UK.

The EIE (Engage Invest Exploit) conference has become an annual institution showcasing some of the best Scottish Life Sciences, ICT and Energy companies to a room full of potential investors. The amazing event is organized by Informatics Ventures and sponsored by MBM.

We are very excited to see some of our good friends up on the stage including some notable ShareIn alumni!

Don’t Miss Out On These Pitches!

Reminova has developed a revolutionary technology that could mean the end of dental filling, injections, and drilling. The company’s pain-free treatment reverses and repairs early-stage tooth decay. Last year they had raised funds directly on their website from UK, EU, and US investors with the use of ShareIn’s Microsite technology.

From our earlier days as a crowdfunding platform, Parkure who successfully raised over £70,000 to develop a cure for Parkinson’s disease will also be pitching at EIE. Parkure’s primary focus is developing a drug that cures the disease, not just fights it.

From Campaign To Business

People often wonder what actually happens to businesses after their crowdfunding campaign, are they viable businesses that can succeed?

Its great to see our clients have gone on to do amazing things after their campaign and are continuing to grow. We wish them the best of luck at EIE!
